The story begins with Happy Holiday Christmas Trees, the original tree company founded by Cubby Steinhart in 1981. For over forty years, Happy Holiday has grown, harvested, and shipped real trees across the country — helping families celebrate Christmas the way it was meant to be.

But as time went on, we saw a change. Fewer families were visiting local tree lots. Artificial trees became the norm. Today, more than 80% of households use a fake tree, and the tradition of bringing home a fresh, fragrant evergreen is fading fast.
